The title of our lesson today is an appointment with the dentist. Now have you made a dentise appointment?
I do have something for you to find it in today’s lesson. Here is your Find It question.Who will Jack call?

1、 toothache n.
2、 afraid adj.
3、 painful adj.
4、 tongue n.舌头

Conversation A
Tom: So my appointment is at 9:30 on Friday? OK, thanks. Bye.
Jack: What appointment do you have on Friday?
Tom: I’m going to the dentist.
Jack: Do you have a toothache?
Tom: No, I’m just going for a chechup.
Jack: Good for you.
Emma: Hey, Tom. Are you going to the dentist?
Tom: I made an appointment for Friday.(注意这些的on用法)
Emma: Great.
checkup就是you make sure everything is OK.

Conversation B
Tom: Pam is so excited about going to her dentist. I decided to try him.
Emma: Jack, when was your last appointment?
Jack: Three years ago?
Emma: Then you should make an appointment with the dentist too.
Jack: I’m a little afraid of going to the dentist. It’s usually a painful experience.
Emma: Dentist are not trying to hurt you. They’re trying to help you.
Tom: Dentist help us have healthy teeth.

Conversation C
Jack: My teeth are healthy.
Tom: Are you sure?
Jack: Yes. See? My teeth are fine.
Tom: But how are your gums? And do you brush your tongue?
Emma: Here, Jack, drink this.
Jack: Wow, that’s cold. Ow, my teeth hurt.
Emma: A-ha! You were wrong. Your teeth are not healthy.
Jack: OK, I’ll call the dentist and make an appointment.
Jack will call the dentist and make an appointment.

接下来，Christina老师给我们讲了一个新句式，when was your last XXX?，你上次XXX是什么时间，其实就是问“你有多长时间没去XXX了？”。
be afraid of doing something

Blow out the candles on the cake.
I’m going to the dentist.

I’m so glad you join us for a new month of learning together right here with all of us friends at the mall.Well today we’re going to start a lesson about the dentist. And we’re going to learn how to talk about going to the dentist.
Today’s Find It question is:where is Pam going?

1、 dentist n. How offen do you visit yourb dentist?
2、 tooth,teeth n.
3、 brush v.
4、 toothbrush n.
5、 gentle adj.
6、 toothpaste n.
7、 toothpick n.牙签
8、 toothache n.

Conversation A
Tom: Pam, why aren’t you eating your lunch?
Pam: I’m going to the dentist in 10 minutes.
Tom: Can’t you finish your lunch in 10 minutes?
Pam: No, I can’t.
Tom: You can eat something. Do you want my salad?
Pam: No, thanks. I can eat later. My teeth are very clean now.
Pam is going to the dentist. She has a dentist appointment.
A dentist is a doctor for your teeth.
When you look inside your mouth, you can find many teeth.

Conversation B
Tom: Your teeth are very clean and white. Do you brush your teeth a lot?
Pam: Yes, I brush them often. I also get a new toothbrush every 3 months.
Tom: You must like new toothbrushes.
Pam: I do. And I go to the dentist every 6 months.
Tom: Wow, you take good care of your teeth.
Pam: My dentist says that too.
牙刷就是something you hold in your hand, and you move up and down on your teeth to clean them。

Conversation C
Emma: Who is your dentist?
Pam: I go to Dr.Smith.
Emma: Oh, my dentist is Dr.Chen in the mall. She is a great dentist.
Pam: Dr.Smith is the best. He is very gentle.
Tom: What time is your appointment?
Pam: My appointment is at 12:30. Oh, I’m late, bye!

Lunch is very important. go out for lunch.
That was an expensive lunch.

every three months, every three weeks, every other year

Calendar Phrase中，讲的是My tooth hurts.
