Today we continue our lesson that is called A Cooking Contest. Yesterday we learned about different kinds of recipes. We talked about a recipe for spaghetti sauce and guava chicken. And today we get to learn what those recipes are or at least a bit more about it.

Amy: Yes. My Mom taught me how to cook and bake. I’m learning from Jack’s Mom too.

Amy: When I want to learn how to make something. I watch my Mom cook it. Then I write down how she does it.

Amy: What’s your Guava Chicken recipe?
Emma: For my special Guava Chicken, you need chicken, guava pieces and guava juice.

Emma: Some spices. I mix those with the juice, pour it over the chicken and guava and bake it.
Jack: Sounds good.Are you all going to enter the contest?
Emma: Yes.
Jack: Me too.
